We understand that making an investment in a charitable organization is no different than any other investment in your business. You want to know your contribution is making a real difference. At Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach, our rental and utility assistance programs provide one-time support during times of crisis, helping individuals and families regain stability. We focus on solving the problem—not simply subsidizing rent. We are not in the business of simply subsidizing rent.
Our clients must show our assistance will help solve the problem, not just provide a temporary band-aid.
Every client goes through a thorough screening process, including an application process, interviews and landlord verification, to ensure that assistance will truly help them remain in their home. To ensure responsible use of resources, clients are eligible to apply for assistance once every 12 months.
