Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach


We rely heavily on volunteers in the following areas:

  • Reception Desk: collect information from clients, and answer the phone.

  • Food Pickup: pick up food from grocery stores, churches, and schools.

  • Food Pantry: fill client food requests, stock shelves, and process food donations.

  • Benefit Bank Interview Counselor: interviews and assist clients with applications for SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, LIS, and TANF.

Each area has different shifts, but most volunteers work 3-4 hours weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed.

Please call our office and ask about available openings in the area that you would be interested in volunteering. We have over sixty committed and trained volunteers, but do occasionally have openings for new volunteers; we will be glad to keep your information on file and to let you know as openings become available.
